For us, making wine is a matter of the heart and family. We work hand in hand year after year in our traditional single vineyards - organically, of course. For us, this means loving manual labour from harvest to bottling. We are driven by innovation - precision is the basis of our work. When our wines reach the glass after a second fermentation in the bottle and an extra-long lees ageing as seductively sparkling sparkling wine, it is not just pure happiness for us - it is also an accolade for our wines. Because we know from over thirty years of experience as sparkling wine makers: Only a great wine can become a top sparkling wine. We stand for pure, organic sparkling wines with an unadulterated, individual character that create and accompany wonderful moments for our customers.
For the Rheingau winegrower Mark Barth, his profession is a combination of precision and emotion. His wines should make you happy and radiate inner peace. To achieve this, he relies on consistent manual labour and controlled quality paired with trained intuition. It goes without saying that all grapes are organically grown. In all of this, at least three hearts beat in Barth's chest: one for the grape varieties Riesling and Pinot Noir, one for his Hassel, Wisselbrunnen and Schönhell vineyards and their personality, and one for his sparkling wine. In the vineyard, he favours yield reduction. On his 22 hectares, he harvests an average of just 60 hectolitres per hectare.
