Winzerhof Krauß Abtswind

In the midst of the charming wine village of Abtswind, the story of a new winery began in 2020. With the founding of Winzerhof Krauß Abtswind, Michael Krauß fulfilled his dream of producing his own high-quality wines at an early stage. Characterised by the location of the vineyards, the soil on which our vines grow and the climate, each of our wines develops its own character. We have made it our mission to combine tradition and modernity in unique wines. For every occasion, for every customer, always just the right thing. Our incentive consists of a fresh breeze, new ideas and daring to step out of line. We are the first winery in Franconia that vinifies wines in a ReBarrique. This is a square wooden barrel which, in contrast to conventional round wooden barrels, lasts 75 instead of 3 years and thus protects resources to a considerable extent. Granite and sandstone barrels join this speciality. We also attach great importance to the promotion and preservation of biodiversity in the vineyard. Among other things, we plant flower strips and stone bars, plant trees and strive for certification as an organic and climate-neutral winery.
