My wine break is my break from everyday life.
I work as a project manager in the IT sector and am on the computer all day. It's a well-known fact that IT workers consume a lot of coffee, but this has never put a damper on my love of wine.
My vineyards are located in Lorchhausen with a slope between 50-75%.
During cultivation, we attach great importance to sustainability. We work the vineyards according to the premise as much as necessary, as little as possible.
This applies to the cultivation of the soil, but also to the application of pesticides.
When working the soil, we have chosen a permanent cover crop that helps to keep water in the soil in summer and at the same time strengthens it through a natural humus build-up.
The wines are matured reductively in stainless steel tanks in the cellar.
Over the years I have noticed that they need a little longer. This led to the decision to let the wines mature longer and to bottle them in summer instead of spring.
Also, the wines have an insane storage potential due to this treatment in the cellar, in addition to the lightness and minerality.
