Info:
Around Heimersheim, a district of Alzey, we cultivate 9.5 ha. Our vineyards are mainly located in the Sonnenberg and Rotenfels sites. For generations, we have been working as a family winery where everyone helps out. I, Philipp Stork, have been the driving force behind the winery since 2014 after successfully completing my viticulture and enology studies in Geisenheim.
Our ambition is to make the most of the potential of our soils. The majority of the soils, especially in the Sonnenberg and Rotenfels sites, are limestone and limestone marl soils.
Quality begins in the vineyard. Species-rich plantings, a lot of meticulous manual work, site- and weather-adapted cultivation measures lay the foundation for individual wines with a strong character. Every year demands a great deal of flexibility and presents us with new challenges in which we benefit from our family's many years of experience, but also from new methods and insights.
The interplay of the experience I gained during my studies, the various internships in renowned wineries and the new experiences that each year brings with it, pave the way for a new vintage year after year.
A lot of manual work in the vineyard, a selective harvest and gentle processing form the basis for our wines. The gentle and careful processing of the grapes protects their original aroma.
