Biodynamic-ecological wines - out of respect for nature!
Our vineyards are located in the charming surroundings of Rheinhessen Switzerland, the land of the "thousand hills".
The basis at Weingut Seyberth is organic cultivation, which has been expanded since 2016 to include the rules of biodynamic agriculture. In order to create the basis for high-quality grapes, we are guided by moon phases and use biodynamic preparations.
Furthermore, we create habitats for insects of all kinds with a multi-layered greening management, cultivate lavender and maintain old dry stone walls.
The grapes ripening in our vineyards are largely harvested by hand and carefully vinified with the "ingredient" time.
The quality and taste of our wines are therefore not determined by technology and chemistry. The skill of the winemaker, the soil and the weather create wines far removed from industrial products, wines for connoisseurs: authentic, dense, individual and unmistakably characterised by our soils.
In the "Siefersheimer Heerkretz" vineyard, we are once again cultivating many small vineyards that have lain fallow in recent years. These are interesting for our business because they are largely worked by hand. This is essential for our quality efforts....
Our wines are vegan, we do not use animal products such as gelatine or similar for clarification and filtering.
Biodynamic viticulture emphasises the intensive connection of the vine with the soil. The forces of nature are directed in such a way that wines with terroir and character are created.
The vineyard comes alive in biodynamic viticulture through diverse fauna and flora, compost and biodynamic preparations from medicinal plants such as valerian, camomile, oak bark or quartz and cow dung.
