Innovation, passion and tradition have been passed down for generations. The Schweder family has been cultivating the vineyard in Hochstadt/Pfalz on the Southern Wine Route since 1898. With 19 hectares of cultivated vineyards, the focus is particularly on Burgundy and Piwi grape varieties (future wines), as these grow particularly well on the deep loamy loess soil around Hochstadt and produce excellent wines.
Henrik Schweder is now the fifth generation to be responsible for the winery. During his studies in viticulture and oenology, he worked in several wineries and deepened his knowledge there. From the German Wine Route, he went to the Mosel, Burgundy, Wachau and Sonoma Valley in California.
