The Pieroth family winery, located in the centre of Burg Layen, is an inspiring place full of history. The Pieroth family settled on the Nahe as early as 1675 and began selling great wines at the beginning of the 20th century.
Good wine is first created in the vineyard and then in the cellar. That is why we place the highest value on natural cultivation and care of the vines. In autumn, we selectively harvest the grapes by hand, which leads to the highest quality of the harvest.
In the cellar, gentle pressing, controlled fermentation at constant temperatures and aroma-preserving long maturation on the yeast, without the addition of sweetness reserves, ensure convincing results.
