The family has been growing grapes in the border triangle of Germany, France and Luxembourg since the 17th century.
Exquisite specialities of the Petgen-Dahm family are the lively and full-bodied Burgundy wines. They thrive on the heavy limestone soils of the Saarland's Upper Moselle.
It is a very special challenge for Ralf Petgen to produce top wines Riesling on the steep slopes of the Saar, the world-famous terroir site "Ayler Kupp".
This makes Ralf Petgen the only "Saarland Saar winegrower".
