Our wines should tell stories - of joie de vivre, enjoyment and Palatinate conviviality, but also clearly show their origin. With Rieslings in particular, we are delighted by the clear differences between the individual vineyard sites.
Our soils have an unusual mixture of red sandstone, basalt, shell limestone, loess and clay. Here in Forst an der Weinstraße, the terroir of each vineyard is very diverse in a very small area - which offers great opportunities and the perfect basis for good wine with charisma: We want to make it possible to smell and taste the different terroir of the individual sites in the wine.
Our wines are as unique as our soils, which help determine the style of wine we make at Margarethenhof.
Because: Riesling is not the same as Riesling; and even if every vintage is individual and different - the characteristic features of the individual vineyards can always be recognised in our wines.
