Info:
In addition to Riesling, which is still our most important variety, we also focus on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, as we are convinced that the chalky terroirs in our portfolio also harbour great potential for these fine cool-climate varieties. The Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc varieties have been an integral part of the Nahe grape variety repertoire since the 1970s and are an excellent stylistic match for the Bad Kreuznach terroirs.
We are developing our wine style in the direction of puristic, firm, long-lasting, slightly reductive wines with a drinkable character. Fermentation with our own yeasts, no additives and hardly any residual sugar in order to convey the terroir in the best possible way. We give the wines the time they need to develop. This is why the local wines/vineyard wines are only released on the market one year after the harvest - the Grosse Lagen wines are only sold after 3 years.
