First-class quality is a tradition at Weingut Haimerl: the history of the winery dates back to 1829. Since then, the best vineyards from Gobelsburg to Langenlois have been cultivated.
We love the Kamptal!
Climatically, the Kamptal is characterised by two contrasting influences: the cooler influence of the Waldviertel hinterland and the warmth of the Pannonian climate of the Danube region. This results in hot days and cool nights during the ripening phase of the wine, which in turn is a guarantee for absolute top quality white and red wines.
The vineyards are planted with a variety of vegetation to prevent erosion and to regulate the yield. A lot of time and patience goes into the careful care of each individual vine. Insecticides and herbicides are not used at all.
Top quality can only be achieved if the utmost cleanliness is maintained during harvesting and grape processing - this principle enjoys the highest priority at the Haimerl winery.
