In the heart of Nußdorf, where the Bauer brothers' grandfather founded the winery, Martin and Alexander Bauer have given it a new look: individual and modern in design, the new vinotheque harmonises with the wine range. It's not just the now cult label wines with the cheeky English sayings on the labels that are fun.
Especially with the red wines, which we plant on almost 50 percent of our vineyards, we are breaking new ground. The typical German grape varieties were no longer enough for us: with much success, during the increasingly warmer summers, we grow a spectrum of red vines that is so far unique for the Palatinate - including Malbec, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Barbera and Nebbiolo
