After training as a winemaker, years of study in Geisenheim and various internships, Alexander took over the business from his father Franz Bauer in 2015. He founded the winery, including the classic Besenwirtschaft, in 1974 as a career changer in the suburbs of Heilbronn. By joining his parents' business, Alexander Bauer gave free rein to his creativity and produced his first own wines alongside his father's established line.
