Weingut am Stein - Ludwig Knoll

Our top priority is to produce individual, terroir-influenced wines from excellent steep slopes that reflect the passion of the winemaker. The vineyards are cultivated biodynamically and the grape quality grows in harmony with nature. We share this philosophy within the family as well as with our dedicated team.
Weingut am Stein, Ludwig Knoll, is located in the centre of the Würzburger Stein. It is run by Sandra and Ludwig Knoll, now in the 5th generation.
The winery comprises 40 hectares of vineyards. The vineyards are divided into 25% Silvaner, 25% Burgundy, 20% Riesling, as well as new varieties of Rieslaner, Müller Thurgau, Bacchus and Scheurebe.
The basis for the quality of our wines is the vineyard. Steep slopes Fully ripe, healthy grapes are essential for flavour and fruit. By strictly limiting the quantity and selectively harvesting healthy and fully ripe grapes, we also continue our quality maxim in the cellar in order to preserve the varietal characters and flavours formed in the grapes until the wine is bottled.
