The Alois Zimmermann Winery in Theiss is an Austrian winery in the Kremstal wine-growing region in Lower Austria. The winery has been in existence since 1902 and has been managed by Alois Zimmermann Jr. since 2007. The vineyard area is 11.5 hectares, 100 % with white grape varieties, those with the parade varieties Grüner Veltliner (80%) and Riesling(20%). The annual production is about 90,000 bottles. The best-known wines are the Grüner Veltliner from the Rosshimmel vineyard and the Riesling Kremser Krax'n. The grapes are harvested by selective hand-picking and grape harvesting, and the fermentation process takes place in stainless steel tanks with the winery's own yeasts. The wines, which are characterised by the terroir, are then matured.
