Five generations of a winegrowing family, unique vineyards on both sides of the Etsch Valley in the South Tyrolean Unterland, traditional winery in the heart of the historic wine village of Tramin.
The diversity of our vineyards is shaped by the terroir in which the vines are rooted. For generations we have dedicated ourselves to the demanding task of planting each grape variety exactly where it finds optimal growing conditions - a real challenge in the microclimatically diverse South Tyrol. On both sides of the Etsch Valley and in the mountainous region of southern Trentino, our vines take root at altitudes of 250 to 850 metres. Steep vineyards in the German Mosel region have also been part of our vineyard for several years.
According to their preferences, our grapes ripen surrounded by cool mountain or warm southern winds in the morning or evening sun. Those wines whose uniqueness reflects the style of precisely defined, special sites bear the classification Vigna in their name.
Martin Foradori Hofstätter took over the winery from his parents in 1992. Together with his wife, he begins an era of modernisation and expansion of the winery. in 1998 the cellar tower is built, which - reserved and yet defining - shapes the villagescape of Tramin alongside the imposing parish tower. With great vision and entrepreneurial spirit, Martin Foradori Hofstätter increasingly expands the family estate. in 2014, he acquires the Dr. Fischer winery in the German Mosel wine-growing region. He thus realised his long-cherished dream of having the best Riesling sites at his disposal.
finally, in 2017, he expands to Trentino, the home of his ancestors. He buys the Maso Michei estate in the Valle di Ronchi, a fascinating mountain area above the town of Ala. Today, the J.
