Zumbo Vini dell'Etna dal 1972
Info:
We are Erica and Ramona Zumbo, the Zumbo Sisters!
We represent a young winery
of Etna 'Zumbo Vini dell'Etna' redeveloping the company followed for years by our
Grandfather, the one who gave life to our vineyards (1972) and to the farm in which
we are based in with a wine cellar and tasting room.
We are located in Solicchiata, one of the most important
hamlets of Castiglione di Sicilia as far as Doc Etna is concerned. The farm is about 7 hectares
and is located in 2 important districts 'Santo Spirito' and
"Trimarchisa", cultivated mainly with Nerello Mascalese, Nerello
Cappuccio, Inzolia, Carricante, Minnella Bianca, Catarratto and a
small part of relic varieties.
We are very careful to respect the land and to conduct a
sustainable agriculture, which is why we have started the process for
organic certification in the vineyard.
Sorelle Zumbo is a young company, which started bottling
its wine production in 2016. We currently produce about
30.000 bottles, but the goal is to vinify all our
our grapes and reach our potential of 60,000 bottles.
