All our work in the vineyard and cellar is gentle and soft, so that the wine is bottled as close to nature as possible. Our down-to-earthness and deep connection with nature is also reflected in the wines: natural and unvarnishedly honest.
The two rivers Talfer and Eisack left behind this unique Lagrein island in the Gries district, which, with its unique sandy, loamy soil enriched with porphyry, forms the basis for our wines. Through targeted seeding we ensure biodiversity, thus the soils remain self-sufficient, and every year anew wines with a strong character are created.
Many of the vines were already planted by our ancestors and have now been standing for decades, defying time, even our modern and fast-moving one. In order to preserve the vines in harmony with nature, they have been lovingly tended according to certified ecological principles since 1996, for which Mother Nature rewards us with grapes of the highest quality.
