Podere ai Valloni was established in 1980 when Guido Sertorio and his wife Cristiana Lombardi decided to renovate the site where the winery currently stands and make it productive again. The first vintage produced was 1983 and until 2010 the company only and exclusively produced Boca Doc: 2011 saw the birth of Colline Novaresi Red Doc Sass Russ, made with Nebbiolo and Uva Rara. A ready-to-drink wine, simple but marked by the peculiarities of Nebbiolo. The flagship of Podere ai Valloni remains the Boca doc Vigna Cristiana, made with 70% Nebbiolo, 20% Vespolina and 10% Uva Rara. Aged for almost 4 years in 2500-litre oak barrels, it is the best expression of Nebbiolo from the north: austere, mineral, sapid, with the typical acidity that characterises the wines produced on the hills of Boca.
Our company obtained organic certification with the 2014 vintage, but Podere ai Valloni has always used a cultivation method inspired by the principles of organic farming and carried out targeted thinning that allows the vine to concentrate its resources on the best grapes
