Podere ai Valloni was established in 1980 when Guido Sertorio and his wife Cristiana Lombardi decided to renovate the site where the company currently stands and make it productive again. The first vintage produced was in 1983, and until 2010, the company produced only Boca Doc: in 2011, Colline Novaresi Red Doc Sass Russ was born, made with Nebbiolo and Uva Rara. A wine ready to drink, simple yet marked by the characteristics of Nebbiolo. The flagship of Podere ai Valloni remains the Boca doc Vigna Cristiana, made with 70% Nebbiolo, 20% Vespolina, and 10% Uva Rara. Aged for almost 4 years in 2500-liter oak barrels, it is the best expression of the Nebbiolos from the north: austere, mineral, savory, with the typical acidity that characterizes the wines produced on the hills of Boca. Our company obtained organic certification with the 2014 vintage, but Podere ai Valloni has always used a cultivation method inspired by the principles of organic farming and carried out targeted thinning that allows the vine to concentrate its resources on the best grapes.
