Most of our vineyards are located to the west of Freiburg on the Tuniberg and are characterised by loess and limestone, giving our wines their special character. Our single vineyard Freiburger Schlossberg with a gradient of up to 60% and partly 360m above the city is characterised by gneiss rock. In addition, there is a cold downslope wind that constantly cools the grapes and thus preserves the acidity and flavours. Unmistakable terroir wines with concentrated fruit and a salty structure on the palate are produced here. We grow Pinot varieties, Gutedel, Riesling and Merlot.
