Florian Reus

The winery is located in the municipality of Randersacker (Maindreieck area) in the German wine-growing region of Franconia. It was founded as a classic garage winery in 2018. Currently, a total vineyard area of around 0.5 hectares is cultivated in the municipalities of Randersacker and Mainstockheim. The vineyard includes a Silvaner plantation with old vines beyond 80 years, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc as well as Müller-Thurgau and Bacchus.
Florian Reus' credo is to transfer his own passion as a long-distance runner to the cultivation and development of the wines. Accordingly, all measures aim at a high degree of longevity in order to let the wines also develop into "long-distance runners". In the vineyard, as many quality-improving measures as possible are carried out, adapted to the respective vintage. All grapes are pressed quasi "manually" with an old, purely mechanical basket press. The subsequent fermentation takes place exclusively spontaneously, with the vineyard's or cellar's own yeasts. Afterwards, a long lees ageing of at least ten, up to currently 24 months is aimed for. There is no fining or corrective intervention at all; only sulphur is added before bottling.
