The Fattoria di Poggio Capponi has a long history dating back to the end of the 15th century. At that time, when the Capponi family realised what a great area it was, suitable for both farming and holidays and in the immediate vicinity of Florence, the Capponi family founded the farm, hence the name "Poggio Capponi".

For years, generations of farmers have settled in the area and worked to cultivate the vines, olive groves and wheat in order to preserve the fantastic quality and beauty of the area.

The Fattoria di Poggio Capponi, now run by the Rousseau Colzi family, is still an enchanting place full of charm and beauty, where you can relax among the rolling green hills and savour the products of Chianti.
