Bürgerspital zum Hl. Geist - Weingut
Info:
The Bürgerspital Winery in Würzburg is a VDP.PRÄDIKATSWEINGUT in Franconia that is over 700 years young. On 120 hectares of vineyards, primarily the classic grape varieties Riesling, Silvaner and Burgundy are cultivated and bottled in Bocksbeutel. The most valuable treasures are the unique vineyards, above all the Würzburger Stein and the Stein-Harfe. "For us Bürgerspitalers, the greatest motivation is to get the best out of these top vineyards: Wines that bear our signature and are unmistakable."
The winery is part of the Bürgerspital zum Hl. Geist Foundation, whose original foundation purpose of caring for the needy continues to this day. Every bottle of wine sold supports this social commitment.
The Bürgerspital is a founding member of the Association of German Prädikat Wine Estates (VDP). The VDP unites the best wine producers in Germany. All classified wines bear the capsule with the grape eagle for recognition.
