Weingut Bergmannhof
Info:
At the foot of the Gantkofel massif in the wine-growing community of Eppan an der Weinstraße lies the Bergmannhof winery at an altitude of approx. 270 metres above sea level. The Bergmannhof has been owned by the Pichler family since 1851.
Since 1979, the grapes from the 3.5 hectare vineyard have been processed and distributed by the family itself.
Today, three generations live and work together at the Bergmannhof. And so history and modernity, tradition and vision, knowledge and curiosity meet. They all have one thing in common: a passion for high-quality wine, genuine manual labour and respect for nature.
The autochthonous varieties Vernatsch and Lagrein as well as the varieties Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Merlot and Cabernet Franc are cultivated on the loamy chalky gravel soils. The range of grape varieties is completed by Pinot Blanc, which thrives on the highest vineyard in Eppan at an altitude of 800 metres.
In addition to organic farming, the Bergmannhof is also certified as a climate-neutral farm.
