Lis Neris is located in the heart of Friuli's most renowned wine-growing area, between the Slovenian border and the Isonzo River. More than 70 hectares of vineyards are located on the most beautiful gravel plateau, brought to the valley by the melting waters of the glaciers. The proximity to the sea favours a typical Mediterranean climate, characterised by daily temperature changes that lead to slower ripening, making the grapes firmer and more balanced in aromas and even fuller in flavour. The white wines have proven to be the best expression of this region.
The year 1981 is the turning point in the history of the winery. At that time we started a production aimed at a constantly increasing quality. White wine proved to be the best expression of our "terroir". Our goal today is to create the conditions to be able to produce wines of ever increasing quality.
