Our vineyards are located in the sunniest region of Germany on the easternmost part of the Kaiserstuhl. The vineyard soils at the edge of the forest are of volcanic origin, formed millions of years ago by volcanic activity. Our Burgundy terraces are the mightiest in the Kaiserstuhl, with layers of loess up to 50 metres high
Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Pinot Noir are our main grape varieties. Our vineyards are cultivated according to our own ecological principles and are planted in places with vines up to 50 years old. Fertilisation is carried out with home-made compost and distilled warm mash. Foundation plants are sown to loosen the soil structure.
The grapes are harvested when fully ripe, but not overripe, in order to maintain a high flavour value. The grapes are harvested and pressed in the gentlest possible way.

In our tasting room, opened in 2011, you have the opportunity to taste and savour our wines in a modern, impressive atmosphere.
If you want to "drink" our landscape at the same time, you can enjoy a tasting on our roof terrace. With a marvellous 360-degree view of our vineyards and across Eichstetten to the Black Forest, you will quickly realise what origin means.
