Schnapsstodl is a speciality liquor store in Franconian Switzerland, located directly at the foot of the Walberla in Kirchehrenbach, just 10 minutes from the Franconian "royal city" of Forchheim. The name "Schnapsstodl" is made up of the word "Schnaps" and the Franconian term "Stodl", which translates into High German as "barn".
While the ground floor and first floor became a paradise for lovers of whisky, rum, gin, vodka, cognac, cigars, Franconian brandies and much more, a wine cellar with Franconian, German and international wines was created in the former potato cellar with a lot of sweat and muscle power.
The Schnapsstodl can now boast a total product range of over 4,000 different items, and the number is constantly increasing! In addition to whiskies of various ages, origins and cask maturation, such as single malt Scotch, Irish whiskey or bourbon, whisky from Germany, Australia, Japan, India or Switzerland, the range of gin and rum is also impressive. Of course, Franconian brandies from various neighbouring distilleries as well as cognac, vodka, tequila, sparkling wine/wine and other various spirits of all price categories are not to be missed. Special rarities, single cask bottlings, exclusive bottlings for Germany, our own projects and other delicacies can of course also be found on our shelves and online at www.der-schnapsstodl.de in addition to the standard products that are always available.
Since 2023, we have also launched our own brand "Stamperla". The Franconian word "Stamperla" is derived from "Stamper": a small glass for high-proof drinks. Under the Schnapsstodl's own brand "Stamperla", in addition to perennial favourites such as Stamperla - London Dry Gin or the popular Stamperla - Zimtschnecke cream liqueur, single cask bottlings of whiskies are also brought onto the market in limited quantities!
