In sunny Merano, on the southern side of the Alps, surrounded by vineyards and lush green valleys, lies the Romantik Hotel Oberwirt. The first-class hotel combines South Tyrolean charm with luxurious comfort for an enjoyable stay. The Oberwirt has been a place of special hospitality for over 500 years. The house was first mentioned in a document in 1496. Around 250 years later, the Waldner family took over the country inn, which is still run today by the eleventh and twelfth generations with Oberwirt Josef Waldner and daughter Barbara Waldner, the designated Oberwirtin.
