Weingut 1616 Pfaffmann Heinz Stiftung

The 1616 Pfaffmann winery from Walsheim in the Palatinate is the largest organic winery in Germany. It is run by Gustav Pfaffmann, who has known his vines and soils like no other for over 40 years, and the younger generation, Kanupriya and Pawel Hener, who bring a breath of fresh air to the traditional winery that has existed since 1616. The wines of the 160-hectare family winery are grown and vinified according to the strict criteria of Bioland e.V., the largest association for organic farming in Germany. Sustainable viticulture in harmony with nature and preserving the diversity of flora and fauna is what drives the family and the entire team.
