"We put our passion for sparkling wine into everything we do. Passion for sparkling wine is what drives us and what we want to ignite in others!" in 1984, the desire to achieve something great was born. Since then, we have been breaking new ground and producing high-quality sparkling wine using traditional bottle fermentation. At the time, this was unthinkable for many in Germany. Today, we cultivate 14 hectares of vineyards as a family, completely organically. We have a great passion for Burgundy grape varieties. Our aim is to make the origin of our grapes and the differences of each vintage tangible in our sparkling wines. All cuvées come from our own vineyards with exciting limestone, loess and marl soils in Rheinhessen and the Palatinate.
Produced from our own base wines, traditional bottle fermentation requires time and patience. A long lees ageing gives a sparkling wine complexity and depth. Our sparkling wines mature on the lees in the bottle for at least 36 months, in some cases even up to 120 months and longer. Since 2019, we have been continuing our sparkling wine tradition with Marie-Luise and Katharina as the second generation. Since then, we as a family have been focussing even more strongly on sustainability, working in the vineyard and traditional methods in the sparkling wine cellar.
