Weingut Schwedhelm
Info:
We are the two brothers Stephan and Georg Schwedhelm. We took over the family vineyard in 2006 and together we cultivate almost 22 hectares. Our vineyards are all located in the Zellertal within a radius of 1.5 kilometres around the winery. Our vines lie in the valley at an altitude of 150 metres up to almost 300 metres at the highest point of the Zellertal, where our winery is also located.
Over the last few years, we have invested heavily in viticulture and cellar technology to improve the quality of our wines. First and foremost our new cellar building, which is partly driven into the mountain. Among other things, this should give our wines more opportunities to mature over several years and thus develop their full potential.
The aim of our wine style is to clearly emphasise the Zellertal with its barren, mineral soils in our wines in order to achieve an unmistakable style that remains constant over decades.
