The beginnings of the Duprès/Kollmeyer wine house and sparkling wine cellar date back to the 17th century.
Century. The name Kollmeyer is first mentioned in the chronicles in 1650 as a wine shop, inn
and beer brewery in the chronicles. Since 1792, the Kollmeyer family has run the wine shop in its present form
The wine shop in its present form and still today the wine house is located in Neustadt
am Rübenberge at the Löwenbrücke is still owned by the family.
In 1888, the "old" Fritz in Neustadt am Rübenberge acquired the rights to use
of the cool vaulted cellars in Landestrost Castle in order to operate a sparkling wine cellar
next to the wine house. As a connoisseur of "pearls in a glass", he appreciated the good conditions of the castle cellars

1858 saw the birth of his son Fritz Kollmeyer, who later in his life went from being a pearl trader
