The home of our winery is Mittelberg in the Lower Austrian Kamptal. A small village, 75 kilometres west of Vienna, at a proud 420 metres above sea level. From up here we enjoy a wonderful view over the landscape.
Viticulture is deeply rooted in our region and, according to records, dates back to 1194. Then as now, the partly stony, partly deep loess soils and the climate offer the best conditions for viticulture.
In summer, temperatures easily reach 30° C during the day, but at night it cools down again quickly due to the altitude. This change and the geological conditions shape the style of our wines.
