The heavy marl soils in Camafonte, with their blend of limestone and clay, give our wines a crisp acidity. We place particular importance on the top layer of the soil: the humus. Increasing it not only makes the soil more fertile for our vines but also contributes significantly to the future.
Climatically, Camafonte benefits from its special location at an altitude of 490 to 590 meters above sea level, at the foot of the Apennine Umbro-Marchigiano mountains: slightly cooler and more rain than the regional average, along with plenty of sunshine but few excessively hot days, allow our grapes to ripen excellently on our southern slopes.
