From Argentina, the wine regions Mendoza (directly at the Andes), San Juan (very hot), and Salta (very high; up to 2000m). Main grape varieties are Malbec and Torrontes (indigenous!). From Spain, wineries from Montsant (a small, mountainous area in Catalonia; cool winds from the Mediterranean) and Rioja (main growing area; large areas and heat); mainly Tempranillo and Garnacha.
