Since 1789, the name "Lagler " has been resident on the farm Rote Torgasse 10, but it was not until the end of the 70s that the change from a pure grape producer (the grapes were delivered to the Freie Weingärtner Dürnstein) to a winemaker took place.
From the very beginning, wine production was guided by the motto "quality before quantity!
Vineyards in the best Spitz locations (Steinborz, Tausendeimerberg, Burgberg), old vines combined with near-natural cultivation and quality-oriented measures characterise the work in the vineyard.
Reduced pruning, careful foliage work, thinning out in summer and selective manual harvesting form the basis for high-quality grapes and thus for our excellent wines.
