Weingut Albrecht Schwegler

The Schwegler family winery, founded in 1990, is now in its second generation, setting standards in the Rems Valley with organic farming and pioneering innovations. The "garage owner" and founder Albrecht established a style of wine with his distinctive red cuvées that had not existed in Germany until then. Son Aaron follows this approach together with his wife Julia and vinifies red and white top cuvées. The idea of the manufactory has remained: With unconditional striving for quality and the certainty that a great wine is always more than the mere sum of its parts. Schwegler's steep, small parcelled vineyards form the basis for this. As a winegrower, Aaron Schwegler arranges a meaningful and enjoyable unity from the fruits of nature year after year. His cuvées are compositions that live from their complexity, texture and longevity. For the most part, Schwegler wines are matured in natural wood, untreated and unadulterated, and then bottled with minimal sulphur after long barrel maturation.
