The winery was founded in 1881 by Josef Neus senior and is now run by Christian Schmitz.
In the centre of the old red wine town of Ingelheim, Christian Schmitz has made it his goal since 2012 to produce Pinot Noir and Chardonnay at the highest level. The team led by operations manager Simon Kissmann and cellar master Toni Frank is working with great vigour to give the Ingelheim Pinot Noir from J. Neus' Pinot Noir from Ingelheim to new, old splendour.
