Our mission is to connect all stakeholders and interested parties by presenting information about fungus-resistant grape varieties in a bundled form
For many years, more and more plantations with PIWIs have been established worldwide, partly also in experimental cultivation, which is based on close cooperation between winegrowers and research institutions. Which grape varieties are best suited to which microclimates? How sustainable are PIWIs in practice? Which varieties are suitable for which wine style? Which table grape varieties have a chance on the market? Which legal aspects might need to be considered? For these and many more questions, we support our members and press representatives in finding contacts and answers
Since 2011, the quality and competitiveness of PIWI wines have been put to the test every year at the International PIWI Wine Award, which we organise. The development is absolutely positive and PIWI wines no longer have to hide, but now also prove themselves in a competitive environment. We regularly present PAR medal-winning wines to the trade and the interested public at the Bio-Fach in Nuremberg and the Intervitis Interfructa in Stuttgart.
In our newsletter we also regularly inform interested wine lovers about exciting and future-oriented news of the PIWI grape varieties. PIWI? The future!
